When You Want to Buy Something
When you search for an item and click on an item you want, you’ll find a standard format for each product’s page. On the left-hand side, you’ll see the item description with the quantity of items available. You'll also see the ratings by people who have ordered the item before (out of 5 stars). You will then see the price – “Buy It Now” or “Place Bid” or “Add to Cart” as well as the number of people watching an item (that’s your competition). You will also see the shipping information (cost, location of the item, and where the seller sells to) and payment options. You'll also discover the return policies (they vary by the seller), and eBay’s money-back-guarantee.
There are usually a few pictures of the item to offer a visual depiction of the item you’re looking to buy. The prices will vary based on whether it’s an item you can buy outright or bid on. If it’s a bidding item, you’ll start with a minimum price set by the seller and go up from there. If you qualify for PayPal credit, you may be able to make payments in installments on higher-priced items (minimum $300) and pay 12.99% APR over the course of 12 or 24 months.
On the right-hand side of the webpage, you’ll find the seller’s information. This information will include their logo, name, and the number of reviews based on previous customers. You can also opt to “Follow this Seller” and see other items offered by that seller.
Shipping and return policies vary from seller to seller. You’ll find that many sellers offer free standard shipping on their items. When you’re ready to check out, just enter your PayPal or credit card information and add a promo code if you have one then complete your order.
