Established in 1985 with just a couple of airplanes, the Emirates fleet has grown to over 200 Boeing and Airbus aircraft. This Dubai-based company is now one of the biggest air travel providers in the Middle East and in the world. Dubai International Airport is the central hub for Emirates, with thousands of flights operating each week. The carrier is part of The Emirates Group, which in turn managed by the government-owned Investment Corporation of Dubai.
Book A Flight Online
When you visit the Emirates home page, there are various ways to book a flight. The easiest way is by clicking on “Book a flight” on the upper right corner of the screen. Fill in the online form with your flight preferences. Aside from the one-way and return options, you can book multiple flights using the Advanced search button.
You can also click on the Book tab on the upper left of the home page. This tab also lets you book your accommodations, a rental car, local transfers, and tourist activities online. The drop-down menu allows you to search for flight schedules via the Search Timetables box. Once you have chosen the date and destination, the page will display the different schedules available.
Another way to book a flight is by entering information in the Search and book flights box at the top of the screen. It automatically appears if you scroll down to the bottom of the page. Please note that the Emirates site displays the local time. The site lets you print timetables and your flight details in PDF.
The Emirates Experience
Emirates believes in providing quality, and its site allows you to customize your travel experience easily. Just click on the Manage or Experience tab in the upper middle part of the home page. You can make decisions about your check-in, seating, in-flight entertainment, baggage, and more. Emirates understands the challenges of traveling with children. There are in-flight services and treats that will make the trip enjoyable for your little ones.
The Emirates Store
Are you looking for a gift for your host or a souvenir for your family? The Emirates Official Store offers branded merchandise with a flat shipping rate. There are items for kids like adorable stuffed animals and miniature travel gear. Older travelers can purchase more sophisticated items like designer accessories, clothes, and travel necessities. The store even sells realistic aircraft models that all ages will love.
Check if the flight has the Best Price icon, which shows the Emirates best offer price. The Emirates site also lets you manage your booking and even hold your fare for a limited time. Emirates offers in-house rewards programs for frequent flyers on selected flights. The Skywards program has membership tiers, with Platinum offering the most benefits. Members can earn redeemable points on each flight, depending on the ticket price, route, etc. In some cases, you can even earn points when flying via partner airlines. Occasionally, Emirates also gives new Skywards members bonus miles and other perks. If you are traveling for an organization, consider signing up for Business Rewards. Take note that for this program, you can only earn points when flying on an Emirates flight. For bigger savings, click on the Featured fares tab on the upper part of the homepage. It shows discounted fares for selected destinations within a specific timeframe. You have to hurry, as these promo fares are usually available for only a few days. Featured fares and other special promos are also displayed prominently on the home page. Subscribe to the email blast for news about seat sales and other promos.
