How does spending change as you get older? We created a representation of what different age groups spend on 12 different items in real-time, since the beginning of the year. How similar are your spending habits compared to the average person in your age group? Have you spent more or less so far this year on clothes? On eating out?
Lifestyles of the rich and famous can be pretty extravagant, but these 12 celebrities took it a little too far. At one point in time all of these celebrities filed for bankruptcy. Some of them were also significantly in debt. As you will see below, the King of Pop was also the king of spending!
Many things can affect your income, from where you live to your educational attainment. The team at Dealhack created a representation of what different demographics are making and spending in real-time, since the start of the year. How do you compare to the average person in your demographic group? See our sources below for details on each group.
The demographics shown represent consumer units, as defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. A married parent was calculated as half of the income and expenditures of married with kids. A married person was calculated as half of the income and expenditures of married without kids.
