TaylorMade Shopping Guide
The History Of TaylorMade
TaylorMade has an interesting history. In 1979, Gary Adams started TaylorMade with a $24,000 loan on his home. The first factory was a rented plant formerly used for TV assembly. The first product the company ever created was a 12-degree driver cast made of stainless steel. Including Adams, three employees were working on this innovative product.
Before Gary has his vision, golf clubs were made of wood. The interesting thing about this club was that it was made of steel. This new club looked very different than the traditional style of club, and more importantly, it performed better. It had two advantages, the perimeter weighting of the clubhead was more forgiving to bad shots while its lower center of gravity made it easier to launch the ball into flight.
TaylorMade Golf Principles
The TaylorMade company has four core guiding principles:
- They should remain faithful to what real golfers perceive as to how an authentic club looks and feels like.
- They should always be committed to innovation and authenticity.
- They should remain passionate towards the game.
- They swear to remain competitive by working hard to pursue their goals and create brand value.
These principles have helped to carve a lasting brand identity for TaylorMade in the golf industry. Over the years, their core principles have stayed the same. They are, and will remain, committed to delivering high-performing golf accessories around the world.
