9 Bath & Body Works Hacks: Rewards, Candle Day and the Semi-Annual Sale

The cheapest way to shop Bath & Body Works is to join its free rewards program, buy candles on Candle Day and stock up on body care during the Semi-Annual Sale. Rewards members get $10 off a $30 purchase for joining, earn 10 points per $1 and get a free item worth up to $18.95 for every 1,000 points. 1. Check for a coupon before you check out

Show your barcode in the app at the register, or sign in online, or the purchase will not count.

The program is open only to US residents aged 18 and over (19 or 21 in a few states), according to the program terms. Canadian shoppers buy through bathandbodyworks.ca instead.

3. Make every Reward count

A Reward covers one item and is applied to the most expensive eligible product in your order, as long as its regular ticket price is $18.95 or less. Use it on a full-price fine fragrance mist or body cream rather than a hand soap, and remember you can redeem up to eight Rewards in one transaction. A Reward can be combined with other offers when their terms allow it, but the free item does not count toward a coupon's minimum spend.

4. Use the mix-and-match offers

Outside the big sales, the everyday deals are mix-and-match offers. In early November 2026, for example, Bath & Body Works listed fine fragrance mists and body creams at "Buy 3, Get 3 or Buy 2, Get 1 free" and foaming hand soaps at 5 for $28. Buying in the quantities those offers reward cuts the price per item, so plan a larger order rather than several small ones.

5. Shop the Semi-Annual Sale

Bath & Body Works runs its Semi-Annual Sale twice a year. The June 2026 sale opened to rewards members on June 14 at 6 p.m., a day before everyone else, and brought back 10 retired "Vault" fragrances. Join the rewards program before the next sale starts so you get the early access, and shop early if you want a specific scent.

6. Stock up on Candle Day

Annual Candle Day is the brand's biggest candle event. In 2025 it ran online from 10 p.m. ET on Thursday, December 4 through Sunday, December 7, and in stores December 5 to 7, with 3-wick candles at $9.95 each, which Bath & Body Works calls their lowest price of the year. If you buy candles as gifts, wait for Candle Day instead of paying full price in November.

7. Shop on bonus-points days

The rewards program runs bonus-points days, when purchases earn extra points toward your next Reward. If you are planning a stock-up order, time it for one of these days, which are announced to members in the app.

8. Redeem free items in store or with pickup

Shipping fees apply to free items redeemed with Rewards online, so a free item can still cost you money if it is the only thing in a shipped order. Redeem Rewards in a store, or add them to an order you pick up, and points still post to your account after a pickup order is collected.

9. Keep your points and Rewards from expiring

Points expire if your account has no purchases for 365 days, and each Reward expires 90 days after it is issued. If you only shop at Bath & Body Works a few times a year, check the app before each Semi-Annual Sale and Candle Day so you use Rewards before they lapse.
